Between Sky & Sea by Leena Kazak — book slip

Prince Zevayr of Arbinj, known as the Dark Commander, has built his reputation on fear and bloodshed. As a weapon honed for war and hollowed out by loss, he has become more monster than man.

When ordered to escort his brother's betrothed, Mayah of Tundrayn—the crown princess of the kingdom that killed his closest friend—back to Arbinj, he anticipates an inconvenience.

Instead, he finds himself drawn to her defiance and softness, challenging his icy barriers. As they journey through rebel-torn lands, Zevayr faces a new war within himself, torn between duty and his growing feelings for Mayah.

Back in Arbinj, amidst a court eager to see Mayah fall, Zevayr must decide how much of his kingdom he is willing to burn for her.
