House of Pounding Hearts
Captured by Lorcan, the Crow King, Fallon Báeinach is taken to the Sky Kingdom where she learns she is the prophesied curse-breaker who can free his people from an obsidian curse. Her mixed Crow, Shabbin, and Fae blood explains her power, but an ancient mating bond tying her to Lorcan complicates everything, forcing them to share thoughts and emotions against her will. She resists the bond and her growing feelings while navigating betrayals and shifting alliances between the Crows, Fae, and Shabbins. In the tunnels beneath Luce, she uncovers her Shabbin magic and the blood wards imprisoning the Crows. When Fallon is lost in the final confrontation, Lorcan's rage nearly destroys him. His love stays his hand, but the war is unsettled, and their shared future hangs in the balance.
