Winds of Darkness
'Winds of Darkness' is a compilation of two novellas from the Lady of Darkness series: 'The Reaper' and 'Unrelenting Winds'. In 'Unrelenting Winds', the narrative unfolds centuries after the Great War that divided the realm.
The Fae Courts and mortal lands are in a phase of reconstruction, striving to adapt to a transformed world. The Wind Princess seeks an audience with Prince Briar Drayce, the ruler of the Water Court.
Accustomed to maintaining peace, Prince Briar is confronted with a request from the aloof princess that challenges his principles, compelling him to weigh the potential repercussions of inciting the Fae Courts, the realm, and the gods. 'The Reaper' delves into the backstory of Rayner, known as the Fire Court Third and formerly the Reaper.
Before assuming these titles, he was the Ash Rider to Moranna, the Baroness of a secluded colony on the Southern Islands. Rayner believed in Moranna's dedication to safeguarding certain Fae.
However, upon uncovering her darkest secrets, he resolves to dismantle her operations on the islands.
This decision entangles him in a curse as retribution for his defiance, setting him on a path filled with violence, grief, and unforeseen alliances, as he confronts the enduring nature of certain nightmares.
