How it starts

Bea, known as the Washwoman, is cursed to wash the grave clothes of the dying for eternity at the River's End. Her only hope for freedom lies in piecing together a spell from the garments she cleanses. But her quest is interrupted by Brennen, a man sworn to kill her, believing her to be the monster who took his loved one.
