How it starts

Thais Morvaren, a fisherman's daughter with the secret ability to forge weapons from starlight, is thrust into the deadly Trials of Ascension when her divine heritage is exposed. Forced to compete in a brutal tournament she never wanted, Thais seeks vengeance against Olinthar, King of the Gods, whose touch killed her mother. As she navigates the trials, her twin brother's powers manifest, binding him to the same fate. Her mentor, Xül, a necromancer prince with a dark past, becomes an unexpected ally and romantic interest, complicating her quest for revenge. Amidst the trials, an ancient darkness threatens the divine realm, and Thais must decide how far she'll go to achieve godhood.
