How it starts

Los Angeles, the City of Angels. Capital of the Celestial Society. We exist right under your nose, hiding in plain sight... My life, from the outside, is perfect. I have everything a girl could ever want. Power. Status. Beauty. Loyal followers who worship the ground I walk on. Not only do I attend Luna Academy, the most elite university for feminine magic, but I am also the queen of it and the most powerful fireling to grace these halls in an age. I’m untouchable. At least, I was. Until him. Until the shadow with silver eyes invaded my life out of nowhere and took everything from me. He leaves a trail of terror and devastation everywhere he goes. He won’t stop until he gets what he wants. And what he wants is me. He says what he’s done to me was necessary. He says I belong with him. He’s as batsh*t crazy as he is powerful. When whispers of an ancient prophecy emerge, I can’t help but wonder if he’s right. Has fate brought us together? I don’t care. I have fire in my blood and dragon’s temper. Even with the Fates and the odds stacked against me, I will not go down without a fight. And everyone knows shadows are no match for fire.
