How it starts

Thraga, a runewitch, faces execution for avenging her lover's murder. The night before her execution, Durlain Averre, a necromancer and fire mage, is thrown into her cell. Durlain, the son of the man who killed Thraga's mother, offers to help revive her lover if she assists him in rescuing his sister using her forbidden rune magic. Their journey is fraught with danger, court intrigue, and revelations about their pasts. The novel is set in a Norse mythology-inspired world and features a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance between two morally grey characters. ⚠️ Content Warning: violence, death, sexual assault, torture.
