How it starts

Scarlett Dragna has always dreamed of attending Caraval, the magical, once-a-year performance where the audience participates in the show. But with her father's arranged marriage looming, she fears her dreams will never come true. When an invitation to Caraval finally arrives, Scarlett and her sister Tella seize the opportunity to escape their oppressive life. However, upon arrival, Tella is kidnapped by the enigmatic organizer, Legend, and becomes the centerpiece of this year's game. Scarlett must navigate the treacherous and enchanting world of Caraval, where nothing is as it seems, to find her sister before the game ends and Tella disappears forever.
